Indian pop
Indian pop music,is based on an amalgamation of Indian folk and classical music, and modern beats from different parts of the world. The biggest form of Indian pop music is filmi, or songs from Indian musical films. The Film industry of India supported music by according reverence to classical music while utilizing the western orchestration to support Indian melodies. Music composers like C. Ramchandra, Salil Chowdhary, S.D. Burman, Vasant Desai, Shankar Jaikishan employed the principles of harmony while retaining classical and folk flavor.
Arabic Pop Music
The early days of Arabic pop where more a traditional style of music. Artists such as Umm Kulthum made it acceptable for females to perform. She is now considered an Arabic music legend. At this point the performers would tend to write lyrics though not always. Music was written by others. Both lyrics and music were in much more traditional Arabic styles and songs tended to last well over 5-10 minutes.
US Pop
American pop is a vague and nebulous term, applied generally to whatever form of music is most popular among mainstream American teenage audiences. Adolescents are an especially important audience, both because of their relatively large amount of discretionary spending, and their fervent devotion to pop stars. Though the modern era of teen pop music is not usually said to have begun until the '60s, there were important antecedents.Perhaps the first genre of teen pop was the swing craze, which was an important dance style among teens across the nation in the early part of the 20th century.
Latin pop
Latin Pop generally refers to pop music that has what may be perceived a "Latin" influence. The definition of "Latin" varies, howeverLinguistically, pop music sung in Spanish, or other languages derived from Latin, may be considered Latin pop. Geographically, it could refer to pop music from Latin America or sung by Latin Americans, generally regarded as Hispanics . Pop music which has a significant Latin pop influence, no matter sung by who or in what language, may also be considered Latin pop.
Mexican pop music
Pop is a music genre particularly intended for teenagers and young adults. This type of music produced in Mexico is called Mexican pop.Mexico is the country that exports the most entertainment in Spanish language. Mexican pop was limited to Latin America until the mid-1990s, when an interest towards this type of music increased after Ricky Martin's, Shakira's, ' and Jennifer Lopez' debuts before the mainstream US audience.During the 1960s and 70s most of the pop music produced in Mexico consisted on Spanish-language versions of English-language rock-and-roll hits
Chinese Pop Music
Cantopop is a colloquial portmanteau for "Cantonese popular music". It is also referred to as HK-pop, short for "Hong Kong popular music". It is categorized as a subgenre of Chinese popular music within C-pop. Cantopop draws its influence not only from other forms of Chinese music, but from a variety of international styles including jazz, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, electronic music, western pop music and others.
