The National Gallery of Modern
Art is one of India's best maintained museums, and
is dedicated exclusively to Indian painting and
sculpture of the post-1857 era.Jaipur House has
a dome like a Rashtrapati Bhavan, with a butterfly-shaped
building plan with over two floors. The first floor
is reached by a staircase close to the entrance
doorway.Among the paintings and prints, works by
Hodges and Daniell are of great importance.

Craft Museum
The Crafts Museum at Pragati
Maidan has galleries displaying India's wealthy
tradition of handicrafts. An added attraction
is the existence of craftsperson's, which are
brought here from diverse parts of the country
to demonstrate their skills. The museum boasts
of having the rarest and exquisite pieces of art
and craft, selectively collected from all over
the country.
