Salesforce.com and Google Apps both provide business software as a service, and now both companies are union forces. Starting this week, a fresh product known as Salesforce for Google Apps would offer an incorporation of the enterprise-leaning application suites. The teamwork makes Google Apps accessible for all salesforce.com customers at no extra cost. Salesforce is also reselling the leader edition of Google Apps.
Both companies noted which Salesforce users could now shun version control or e-mail attachments by making use of Google Docs inside of Salesforce. This permits, for example, for a suggestion to be made without leaving Salesforce. "No more e-mailing attachments or worrying about different versions floating around," Salesforce said.
