This is good news for football lovers at Siliguri that really made them happy. For the first time while 1985, soccer fans in the city would be capable to look at some top teams in act at the important Kiran Chandra Memorial Football Tournament, being prepared by the Siliguri Mahakuma Krira Parishad at the Kanchenjungha Stadium from 26 March, 2008.
The Siliguri mayor, Mr Bikash Ghosh, that proclaimed this at a press meeting here, said: "Eight teams - four from Siliguri and one each from Namchi, Haldia, Bokaro and Jalpaiguri - will take part in the conference, the finals of which will be played on 5 April, 2008."
